Electric ranges fail quietly. A bake element blisters at one spot and opens; the preheat chime still sounds because the control counts time as much as temperature, and the roast comes out raw. A sensor drifts fifty degrees and every recipe runs long. A radiant element under the glass gives up and leaves a cold burner. After a thunderstorm brownout the control locks on an F-code. The control has flagged the sensor, the lock or one of its relays.
